4.7
Out of 5.0
The Tara Spirit Pro is a dependable, well-rounded electric golf cart that delivers excellent value for everyday users. While it may not have the aggressive styling or advanced tech of premium lifted carts, it excels in efficiency, comfort, and ease of use. For buyers seeking a reliable lithium-powered cart for neighborhood cruising or light utility work, the Spirit Pro earns a strong 4.7 out of 5.
The Tara Spirit Pro’s 48V lithium battery is designed to last 2,000–3,000 charge cycles, which typically equals 6–10 years depending on usage. Lithium batteries maintain consistent performance over time and require significantly less maintenance than traditional lead-acid systems.
The Spirit Pro offers an estimated 45 to 60 miles of range per charge, depending on terrain, passenger load, and driving habits. Flat surfaces and lighter loads will maximize efficiency, while hills and heavier use may reduce range slightly.
Yes, in many areas the Spirit Pro can be classified as a Low-Speed Vehicle (LSV) when properly equipped. It typically includes essential features such as headlights, brake lights, turn signals, mirrors, seat belts, and a windshield. Always check your local regulations for specific requirements.
Charging the Spirit Pro on a standard 120V outlet takes about 5–7 hours for a full charge. Some models may support faster charging options depending on the battery configuration and charger type.
No. The lithium battery eliminates the need for watering or corrosion maintenance. Routine upkeep includes checking tire pressure, inspecting brakes, and keeping the cart clean. Overall, maintenance is minimal compared to gas or lead-acid carts.
Yes, the Spirit Pro’s electric motor provides strong torque for moderate hills and inclines. While it performs well in most neighborhood and community settings, very steep terrain may impact speed and range.
The Tara Spirit Pro has a top speed of 25 mph, which aligns with LSV regulations in most U.S. states. This makes it suitable for neighborhood roads and designated low-speed areas.
Absolutely. The Spirit Pro is designed for daily driving in neighborhoods, resorts, campuses, and private properties. Its quiet operation, comfortable seating, and low operating cost make it a practical alternative to traditional vehicles for short-distance travel.
Yes, many dealers offer customization options such as upgraded wheels, enclosures, premium seats, sound systems, and cargo accessories. Available upgrades may vary by location and trim level.
Most Tara Spirit Pro models include a limited vehicle warranty (typically 1–2 years) and a longer lithium battery warranty (often 3–5 years). Warranty coverage can vary by dealer, so it’s best to confirm details before purchasing.
The Precedent definitely shows its age in a few areas. The ride quality is fine but not particularly refined, especially compared to newer carts with upgraded suspension systems. Technology is minimal unless it’s been upgraded, most stock models feel pretty basic inside, with simple controls and limited features. One of the biggest advantages, though, is how customizable the Precedent is. There’s a massive aftermarket for these carts, so it’s easy to upgrade things like the battery (especially to lithium), add lighting kits, improve seating, or even convert it into a street-legal setup. That flexibility makes it a great platform if you want something you can gradually improve over time.
Overall, the Club Car Precedent isn’t the most modern or feature-packed cart out there, but it’s one of the most dependable. If you’re looking for something reliable, easy to maintain, and widely supported, it’s still a very solid choice, especially on the used market. It’s not exciting, but it’s consistent, and for a lot of buyers, that’s exactly what matters.
I love zipping around on my farm with all of my tools on hand. It was really a great addition to my farmstead/homestead. Love it!
Bought a 2025 Yamaha golf cart and had several upgrades added. Seat belts, stereo, rear facing seats and upgrade lighting. They installed everything at their shop . The seat belts were not for the Yamaha golf car and over priced. The speaker for the radio did not have a switch on the dash board installed as per the manual so the battery constantly dies. The up graded lights included turn signals that are not self canceling and don’t turn off when the key is in the off position. I have spoke with them several times and they say parts are on order its been over a year. If you are looking to buy a golf cart it maybe worth looking else where they don’t stand behind their work
This cart has been a lot of fun using. most is good, The ride is great, good speed, battery is good. I’ve have a few issues that the dealer is working on. (One of the fluorescent lights on the roof doesnt work properly, I need an extention for the rear view camera and the self cancelling directional is not working properly), my dealer is working with Solana to get the issues corrected…..it is not set up for golf, had to buy a bag holder to add to the hitch to carry my clubs. the biggest issue which recently came up is the fenders do not cover the wheels enough and makes a mess of mud, water, dirt when on wet surfaces. Solana has given the design team the isse on the fenders and said they would have a solution in 3 months.
I’ve actually driven the Express on the course many times. Always a really smooth ride.
